Here is another item I am so excited about because, once again, it is something I use regularly! Hemp hearts are a delicious way to add extra protein to your meals (3 tablespoons yields 10g of protein!). I am not a vegetarian, but I do try to limit meat whenever I can. The taste of hemp hearts is kind of nutty so it goes great with nut butters, but it is so versatile that you can really add it to any dish - whether sweet or savoury. In the past I've added it to soups, salads, pasta dishes, smoothies, avocado toast; it works with everything! My breakfast this morning is 12 grain toast with all natural peanut butter, sliced bananas, cocoa powder, and Manitoba Harvest hemp hearts!

Another added bonus of hemp hearts which I adore is its magnesium content. Athletes lose magnesium every day from sweating, which can lead to muscle cramps and spasms. Try adding some hemp hearts to your protein shake to avoid post workout muscle cramping!
