Currently enjoying a lovely Moringa Latté before hopping online to teach yoga. I love Moringa and have been using it for years! What originally attracted me to moringa was its high Iron content, which women are commonly deficient in. Moringa actually has 20 times the iron as spinach, but there are so many other amazing benefits that Moringa boasts, all of which are especially important during the covid pandemic, including numerous disease fighting antioxidants. Moringa is a natural energy booster including 90 nutrients and 40 antioxidants, and has 17 times the calcium of milk, 4 times the potassium of bananas, 20 times the iron of spinach and 8 times the protein of yogurt!
During the warmer months I usually put moringa powder in my smoothies, but this chilly fall weather has me craving something warm. 🍵 ♨️
In my Moringa Latté today:
1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 teaspoon of moringa powder (my fave is from Ecoideas)
1 teaspoon of maple syrup
A dash of cinammon!
Start by simmering the almond milk in a saucepan, stirring often. Add the moringa powder, maple syrup, and cinammon, and keep stirring until it dissolves. Pour in your favourite mug and enjoy!
