The Ultimate Daily Oatmeal with Ultimate Daily Cleanse

I love me some warm porridge for breakfast, especially during the fall. My favorite type of porridge has many ingredients, textures, and flavours. Oatmeal can be boring on its own, and it’s easy to get tired of the same thing every day. I have a basic recipe of trail mix, shredded coconut, honey, and cinnamon. Every morning I’ll put in a different fruit. Today I chose mango! Quite the unconventional choice for oatmeal but super tasty, nonetheless. Every bite is exciting. Every bite is flavourful!

Oatmeal and all its add-ons can be very nutritious, but we could all use a little bit of extra help. It’s great when I can find supplements to mix into my food. I have an orange flavoured collagen syrup which I added to my oatmeal (more on the benefits of collagen here: https://www.adriengagnon.com/en/product/collagen-triple-action-liquid/) and I had the pleasure of trying this new fibre blend from North Coast Naturals which contains 50% of your daily fibre requirement, + 6 grams of essential fats and probiotics.

Although this product is a “cleanse”, it is not about being skinny; the combination of fibre, probiotics and healthy fats promotes daily regularity, taking control of which can greatly increase your quality of life. You will feel lighter and more energetic. Fibre is also great at reducing cholesterol.

Mango Coconut Porridge recipe:

- 1 cup oatmeal

- ½ cup shredded coconut

- ½ cup trail mix

- ½ cup frozen mango slices

- 1 tablespoon honey

- cinnamon (for garnish)

- 1 tablespoon liquid collagen (I used Collagen Triple Action Liquid from Adrienne Gagnon)

- 2 scoops Ultimate Daily Cleanse fibre blend from North Coast Naturals

Start by heating about 1 cup of water in a saucepan on your stove, gradually stirring in the honey, collagen, fibre blend, and frozen mangos. Next you can stir in your oatmeal, followed by trail mx and shredded coconut. Pour in a bowl and garnish with more shredded coconut and sprinkle with cinnamon.

I highly suggest cooking your oatmeal on the stove instead of in the microwave! The texture will be better and you will be able to taste all the delicious ingredients. Give it a try and let me know what you think! I LOVE oatmeal and will be posting more of my favourite recipes.
